Open online courses to build
knowledge on HIV and hepatitis C
Courses are self-directed and are designed for service providers who prefer to learn on their own time and at their own pace. All participants receive a certificate of completion.
Due to a cybersecurity incident in early May 2026, access to the Canvas Free-for-Teacher online learning platform has been temporarily suspended, which includes all of CATIE’s self-directed courses. We are awaiting more information from parent company Instructure on when they plan to resume access to the platform, and we will share updates with CATIE course participants as we learn more. In the meantime, please browse our offerings of courses facilitated by a CATIE educator, which have been unaffected by this service disruption.
This course aims to develop in-depth knowledge on HIV prevention for front-line service providers.

This course aims to develop in-depth knowledge on the treatment of hepatitis C for frontline service providers who work with people who have hepatitis C or are at risk for infection.

eduCATIE+ offers instructor-led courses combining interactive online learning with live training. Knowledgeable CATIE educators support participants through discussion boards, webinars, and face-to-face meetings.
We work with organizations to offer HIV and hepatitis C courses that build the capacity of frontline service providers. Each course is customized to the population and regional context of the partner organization.
Frontline workers can register on their own for any open eduCATIE+ course. Some of our courses are offered on a regional basis to allow for more in-depth discussions of the issues and context specific to participants.
